This plaque was unveiled by the Right Worshipful The Lord Mayor Of Portsmouth, Councillor John S.Marshall C.B.E. on 13th June 1984 On the occasion of the planting of twelve oak trees by the Following countries, cities and organisations to commemorate The fortieth anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy.
