Further Information
This memorial is believed to have been associated with the dedication of a window in the north wall of the nave, the fourth from the west end. However the wording as recorded in the 1873 Guide to the Church is slightly different in that it says "To the Glory of God and in memory of the twelve chaplains who fell while striving to do their duty during the Crimean war, this window is dedicated by the Chaplain Department of the Army". If this shows that there were more plaques associated with the window we should not be surprised since there is also a Pew Plaque to the Chaplains in the chancel and there was formerly a Bench Plaque to the Chaplains in the Nave.

The names of the Chaplains do not appear on any existing plaque, but they are recorded in the Guide to the Church, as follows:-
