MAJOR NICHOLAS HOVENDEN, 59TH REGIMENT WHO DIED AT LEEDS, ON THE 30TH SEPTEMBER 1845 AGED 52 YEARS 36 OF WHICH HE PASSED IN THE 59TH REGIMENT HAVING SERVED WITH IT IN THE PENINSULAR AT WATERLOO AND BHURTPORE THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS BROTHER OFFICERS AS A TOKEN OF THEIR ESTEEM |
